Levi’s 501 Blue Jean, was patented as Overalls by Levi Strauss & Company in 1873.
Levi’s overalls were not bib overalls, they were simply trouser overalls. The first mass-produced bib overall was actually patented and produced by Lee Jeans in 1921.
